Faculty of Law

The Faculty of Law aims to educate lawyers committed to excellence and to the country, with values such as democracy and social awareness in an atmosphere of pluralism and respect for diversity and human rights, which is followed by the generation and dissemination of knowledge through research and training.

The Faculty of Law and Social Sciences imparts Law: program which fosters the principles of pluralism, tolerance and active recognition of diversity. The future lawyer regards justice and legal certainty as guiding values of the discipline, prudence as a virtue of its act, and solidarity as the value of relationships with others.

The Faculty of Law and Social Sciences has a Centre for Legal Research, a Criminal and Legal Clinic, a Centre for Criminological Research and Criminal Justice; and a Center for Mediation, Negotiation and Arbitration. It also offers the possibility of obtaining higher degrees in a wide range of postgraduate programs.
